Artist Statement

Annalisa Campbell is proud to be an Oklahoma artist. Raised in Cushing and OKC, she currently resides in Piedmont. She has received all of her art training, both formal and informal, in her home state. Annalisa uses her creative gifts in various forms. In addition to her “canvas” work, Annalisa serves the Oklahoma arts’ community by organizing art exhibits for the Oklahoma Art Guild and serving on their board. She also teaches at various art camps, paints residential wall murals and encourages artists locally through the Piedmont Library and Cultural Events Society, membership in the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition and serving on the board of directors of TAG, The Arts Group. Annalisa is known as a mixed media artist. Although some of her individual pieces may be dominated by one media type, her body of work is a mixture of media that best expresses a moment or story. Her current work often incorporates her own digital photography of various travels in and outside of Oklahoma with acrylic, encaustic, or gouache. "I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see." –John Burroughs…… “AND, all the stories in art I am compelled to tell!” Annalisa
